A San Diego Airman disguised himself as an Amazon delivery driver to surprise his unsuspecting grandparents after two years away.
A man in the military attempted to surprise his grandparents by showing up at their doorstep as an Amazon delivery driver. Plot twist: his grandparents failed to recognize him until much later.
The hilarious video shared by Annalise Ryan shows Anthony, her brother who had been away for two years, appear at the door of their grandparents' San Diego home with a package in hand. After handing the package to his grandfather, he has his grandmother sign some fake papers, as the rest of the family laughs.
Anthony then asks if he can use the washroom, and his grandmother allows him to without realizing it's her grandson, though she does comment that the supposed delivery man looks like Anthony.
The grandma even offers Anthony some food, and as he comes into the dining area and takes off his mask, she finally realizes it is her grandson. She immediately drops to the floor with her face in her hands, before getting up and hugging him as tears stream down her cheeks.
Ryan told Storyful that her brother had been stationed in England with the Air Force for two years.
"When he was finally able to come home, we wanted to surprise our grandparents because we knew how much they missed him," Ryan said.
