Neil Patrick Harris surprised fans with a special update on his upcoming book. However, it’s not just his exciting announcement that’s capturing attention; fans were also completely smitten by the adorable moment with his husband, David Burtka.
The How I Met Your Mother star joins a growing list of celebrities who are launching their books and, as for him, he and his longtime partner co-wrote the stylish recipe book Both Sides of the Glass: Paired Cocktails and Mocktails to Toast Any Taste.
On Thursday, the award-winning star posted a video of himself and Burtka, whom he called his “wonderful husband,” expressing their deep gratitude to fans who had preordered the book.
Besides this, the couple revealed they were giving fans “something special made” as a thank you for their support.

“It’s our little way of saying thank you for all your incredible support. We cannot wait for you to get your hands on Both Sides of the Glass,” the pair said in the video.
In the comments section, fans couldn’t help but notice the spark between the couple.
“You’re both so cute I can’t take it!” one wrote.
“You two are freaking adorable,” a follower said.
“You two are adorbs!” a third user noted.
“Look incredible!!” a commenter chimed in.
A fan also noticed the Uncoupled star’s gesture to his partner, saying, “Did you just pet your husband? I do the same…. He’s not quite as patient…. Lol”
Meanwhile, a fan referred to their roles in the hit CBS TV show, “Barney and Scooter.”
The cocktail and mocktail recipe book features both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for anyone to enjoy. Both Sides of the Glass also reflects Harris and his husband’s passion for mixology and entertaining.
Moreover, there’s a nonalcoholic option for those who prefer it, as Burtka has been sober for eight years.
“David, however, is not an alcohol drinker, and so we wanted to, we thought that there was a good opportunity to be able to educate people about the spirit-free cocktail world without it having to be an either-or situation,” Harris told People.
Both Sides of the Glass: Paired Cocktails and Mocktails to Toast Any Taste is set to be released on September 30.
Apart from the book, the Emmy and Tony-winning performer will be hosting an upcoming game show on Netflix.
What’s in the Box, set to premiere in December 2025, is a game show where contestants guess the contents of giant boxes for a chance to win exciting prizes.
