“Going for our third baby is almost more exciting than ever because now we truly know just how good it is,” Matt, 27, and Abby, 26, tell PEOPLE. As for the baby's sex, the duo says they "genuinely have no preference," though they note that their eldest son is "really hoping for a sister!”
Abby, who regularly opens up about life as a mom on social media, adds that her own experience is already distinct from the other times she was expecting.
“This pregnancy has felt different from my other two," says the influencer. "Lots of days I have to remind myself that I’m even pregnant and that this is really happening!”

The Howards will be sharing more about their pregnancy in the newest episode of their Unplanned Podcast on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The hosts regularly discuss their relationship, their social media presence and their lives as parents on the series.
Matt and Abby have also opened up about how to best handle their viral fame as it relates to parenting and the safety of Griffin and August. Since the two boys grew out of infancy, the TikTok stars made the decision to conceal their kids' faces in videos and photos.
In November 2024, the high school sweethearts told PEOPLE that privacy is their primary concern, and they sync up to curate their content accordingly. They said they don't post any content without both signing off on the post first.
"Privacy for our family is very important, so that's an area that we run by each other," Abby said last autumn. "Anything regarding our children's health, that's something that's really important. And details about location, whether that's when we're traveling or our own home."
