The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed second baseman Ketel Marte on the restricted list, days after news that Marte's house was burglarized during the MLB All-Star break. Marte had reportedly requested personal days from the team to deal with the burglary, per USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
Scottsdale police announced Wednesday that Marte's house had been robbed while Marte and his family were in Atlanta for the All-Star game. Numerous personal items, including jewelry, were stolen, though police said there were no signs of forced entry. Police believe that the incident took place Tuesday night.
