Sex and the City fans have not shied away from sharing their disdain about the series' spinoff And Just Like That..., and it seems that feeling now extends to the show's finale.
HBO announced earlier this year that And Just Like That...'s third season would indeed be the last with the finale airing on Aug. 14. While the show's first season was widely reviled for plotlines including killing off Mr. Big (Chris Noth) on a Peloton, an ongoing text feud between Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) having sex with Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) while Carrie wet her bed (yes, that's real), the series had got marginally better over the course of its three years.

When the series finale was announced, fans seemed optimistic that the show's final episode might send And Just Like That... off on a high note with predictions of Sex and the City cameos, Carrie moving back to her old apartment or even the return of Samantha Jones. However, the show's final 33-minute-long episode was generally not to the fans' liking.
The And Just Like That... series finale not only forewent a single scene including all three of the original cast members together, but also saw Carrie forced to eat lunch across from a stuffed tomato, Miranda clean poop off of her bathroom floor and everyone celebrate Thanksgiving despite the finale dropping in summer.
Fans of Sex and the City immediately took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their disappointment with how the beloved franchise ended. One posted, "I cannot believe And Just Like That ended with LITERAL SH-- overflowing from a toilet…"
Another wrote, "Somehow, the And Just Like That finale was perfectly awful enough to be a fitting end. It was literal sh--. I’ll miss this show."
Some, however, still wanted more following the show's conclusion, with one saying, "Why must good things have to come to an end?" While another called it "mildly chaotic," they admitted, "But I liked it?"

The worst ugliest fashion ever they’re trying so hard in this show and I’m so glad it’s over because this is the worst show on television and Sarah Jessica Parker should just retire forever after doing this

Hey @StreamOnMax, I think you owe me another 3 seasons of @AndJustLikeThat! There are babies and weddings yet to be had, and so many stories left to tell. 😭😭😭

The ending of And Just Like That Season 3 is mildly chaotic, amusing, and little bittersweet… but I liked it? #AndJustLikeThat
