Sarah Jessica Parker gave a glimpse into her real life best friend Andy Cohen's cameo on the final season of on And Just Like That ...

Before the show's final episode aired on August 14, Parker, 60, opened up about Cohen's appearance during a Q&A hosted by Threads at il Buco al Mare in Amagansett, New York, on August 11.

"[Series co-creator] Michael [Patrick King] and I, either talked in person, or he just talked to me on the phone and said, 'I have an idea. There's a shoe salesman, and it should be Andy," Parker revealed during the event.

After Parker shared that she approved of the idea, she said that King, 70, called Cohen, 57, who "said yes immediately."

The Watch What Happens Live host made the memorable cameo in a season 3 episode of the Sex and the City spinoff as a shoe salesman named Daniel who helped Carrie (Parker) as she navigated her relationship issues with Aidan (John Corbett).

The appearance was a nod to Cohen's past role on the original HBO show when he played a similar shoe salesman in a season 6 episode.

Parker also recalled what it was like filming with Cohen during the Q&A. "I don't know if there's any footage of the day that he shot, [but] it was really, really, really early in the morning," she shared.

She added of Cohen, "We did a lot of takes. He was very enthusiastic. He was adorable."

It turns out the shoe salesman role was not the only character Cohen played on SATC. He previously reminded fans that he appeared on an additional episode of SATC in a throwback Instagram post in 2018. “You may know that I was a Barney’s shoe salesman in the last season of #SATC but were you aware I appeared in Season 4 (I think) shirtless in a gay bar standing next to Carrie Bradshaw?” he wrote alongside a photo of him and Parker on the show. “(Sounds about right!!) The shot is cut out of the TV version and now only lives on DVD & Amazon.”
