The former Machine Gun Kelly, now mgk, fired back at a fan who asked about his romantic life on Sunday’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

“Kyle P. wants to know if there’s any truth to the rumor you and Sydney Sweeney were more than just friends?” host Andy Cohen asked.

“Kyle P., shut up, dude,” mgk answered as he shook his head.

The former Grammy nominee’s answer was emphatic, but it wasn’t a direct “no.” Don’t you hate that?

Rumors circulated over photos of mgk and Sweeney looking chummy last May after both had reportedly ended their relationships.

Last fall, mgk reportedly split with Megan Fox, who was expecting a child with him at the time (they now co-parent their infant daughter). Sweeney had reportedly ended an engagement to producer Jonathan Davino in March. (She confirmed the breakup later.)

People reported that Sweeney and mgk have been friends for years. Both had parts in the 2019 movie “Big Time Adolescence,” and Sweeney also starred in the 2021 mgk-directed musical drama “Downfalls High.” (He uses his birth name Colson Baker on his film works.)

Other questions around Sweeney have emerged lately, like was her American Eagle ad racist, and is she really a Republican?

But at least we got the mgk rumor out of the way.

We think.
