Dick Clark Productions (DCP) has appointed Mike Chuthakieo as the company’s first-ever chief commercial officer.
In his new role, Chuthakieo will report to Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions. Chuthakieo will oversee all aspects of commercial strategy and revenue generation for the company, including establishing strategic brand alliances and helping to develop and expand the reach of IP across all media platforms for DCP programming includeing the Golden Globes, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” “American Music Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” and “Academy of Country Music Awards.”

Chuthakieo will officially join the team on July 28 and will be based in Los Angeles.

Chuthakieo joins DCP from 88rising, where he was chief revenue officer. In that role, he developed the sponsorship and monetization strategy across 88rising’s music projects and original IP, including the Head in the Clouds music festival. Chuthakieo has also previously held leadership positions at Pinterest, Pandora, and MySpace. His experience spans ad agencies, sports marketing, media, and adtech.
