Bailey Zimmerman may be a pro at writing love songs, but actually finding love is a whole other story. The 25-year-old country singer/songwriter recently shared some insight into his romantic life, revealing he hasn’t found “the one” yet, and that’s partly due to the fact that his social skills with women aren’t quite as up to par as he’d like them to be.
In a new video, posted to Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 16, Zimmerman told fans and followers that he is struggling in the dating pool and needs help finding better ways to flirt other than offering a fist bump to potential partners, which is something he has done on more than one occasion, including the latest outing he had with his superstar buddies.

“Okay. Just hear me out on this,” Zimmerman says in his video post, which shows him sporting a red ball cap and a matching hoodie. “Last night, umm, after the show, I went to the bar with Cameron Whitcomb, Shaboozey, and Diplo, and we were all hanging out.”
“There were these really pretty girls that tried to come up and talk to me, and I’m so awkward and so weird, I fist-bumped her, and I left,” he continued. “I guess I’m just scared of girls. I have no idea what’s going on! At this point, it’s literally almost impossible for me to find a wife because, fist bump, what? Why did I fist bump her? Help. Awkward!”

Has Bailey Zimmerman Received Any Dating Advice Yet?
Unfortunately, folks didn’t quite receive the message for help, as Zimmerman didn’t receive any suggested pick-up lines or advice. Instead, the majority of followers posted comments applauding the county artist for keeping it real and being authentically himself.
“Personally, I love a good fist bump,” someone wrote in the comment section, with another person adding, “Your awkwardness will be appreciated by the right person. Just keep doing you, brotha.”
“Adorably awkward. Good luck!” Another follower wrote while someone else captioned, “It will be OK.”
How Long Has The Country Artist Been Looking For "The One"?
Zimmerman has been open about his quest for a love interest in the past. In fact, he’s been searching for that special someone for a while now, even going back as far as 2023.
“I’m always looking for a wife. I’m always looking. Until I find one, then I will no longer be looking,” he once told WILD 953 Calgary. “Maybe people think I've got a girl or something. I’m going to just clear the air here. I do not have a girlfriend, and I am looking for one.”
Even Though He Hasn't Found His Future Wife, Bailey Has A Lot On His Plate To Keep Him Occupied
In the meantime, Zimmerman has been staying busy with his music career. On Aug. 8, the chart-topping musician released his sophomore album entitled Different Night Same Rodeo.
Additionally, Zimmerman is on the road for his summer 2025 New To Country Tour, which launched in June. The trek, which features tour mates Dylan Marlowe and Drew Baldridge, makes stops in Denver, Richmond, St. Louis, Reno, and more before wrapping up on Sept. 13 at the Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheater in Laughlin, Nevada.
